Or you could remove it and bung one end and blow into it to see if it leaks anywhere, then remove the bung and try from the other direction, if it's air tight then it's not the problem.
I do have an old MK2 Golf 16V pipe you could probably use at a push.
Have you checked where the oil breather pipe meets in the inlet boot? This is a weak spot and very often the cause of K-Jet air leak problems.
