Did you look in a pre- or post-facelift one? The interior of the earlier one feels classier, before they introduced cheapo black buttons etc. You don't need an XF-R, in my view at least.

Twas a pre facelift car and the dealer had tried to mask the smell but it was oozing from everything.
My commute is only 3 miles which I now ride again and we have a 330d as a 'sensible' car and a 147 as a spare car, I don't need anything else. Same could be said on a classic audi - certainly no need for any of them!
But want is a different matter! I don't smoke, rarely drink, have few hobbies. cars is where I'm at!
