I am firmly of the opinion at the moment that we will not leave the EU.
The EU does not want to see their project break up. There is far too much political will and the risks of further splits will be causing them immense pressure to reform
Big business will lobby and lobby and lobby again to keep us trading freely and if the price to pay is freedom on movement of labour that price will be paid. The damage to the UK economy, economic revenues and even the threat of no funding to the Tory party will far override anyone's cross in a box.
Already noises coming from the UK are indicating we don't have to rush headlong into invoking article 50 while we have some pre negotiations to see what deal is on the table.
I dont see any reason why the EU would want to pre negotiate anything with us until article 50 is triggered.
And even if we do have talks we will never get to a settlement. It will always be an offer so derisory that we will be given a choice of staying a member with all the benefits of trade etc or leave and take your chance.
So I expect a deal on the table and another referendum in 2 or 3 years time before article 50 is implemented.
That's how I see this panning out
In the meantime Boris is not the man to lead us. He is a proven liar, an egotist and he has no proven track record. He's an ex journalist whose expertise is just that. journalism and soundbites who throughout this campaign consistently put down the warnings of economists and experts as scaremongering whilst promising Nirvana without believing he would ever have to deliver on it. And now his chickens have unexpectedly come home to roost we have to simply believe that things will sort them selves out with no plan and politicians from all sides burying their collective heads in the sand. No wonder he was quick to sign a letter pre-vote begging Cameron to stay on. He does not want the responsibility, never anticipated he would have to take the responsibility, thought he would use the referendum as a vehicle to gain some limelight and further his own political career and his now shitting himself with the mess he has created because frankly he cant win. And we are paying the price for his egotistically driven **** up
But that's OK we have that good old British bulldog spirit of our forefathers and words of Winston Churchill ringing through our ears. Only thing is we aint fighting nation states any more, or world war 2. Its 2016 not 1940 in case some people hadn't noticed.
And if and when Scotland decides to up sticks then we wont even be Great Britain by then and our dreams of being little England will have finally been realised
Peace Love and Respect
