Looking like there's a wee tour taking shape on the S2forum for 2nd weekend in September.
Meeting on Sat 10th at The Hermitage near Dunkeld, likely noon.
Leaving The Hermitage and going via Pitlochry onto the A93, up and over Glenshee, through Ballater then left for Tomintoul via Cockbridge, Speybridge, Nairn and ending in Inverness on Sat evening.
Sunday, go up the A9 as far as Tain, then get on the A836 and head up to Lairg, stay on the A836 as far as Tounge where we'd do a left and get on the A838 far north coast road. Follow that around the far north west until Laxford Bridge where we'd cut in-land again remaining on the A838 and blast down the side of Loch Shin before returning to Larig and heading west on the A839 to Rosenhall where it becomes the A837. Stay on that road until Ledmore Junction, where we'd then head south down the A835 via Ullapool and the spectacularly fast section of the said road between there and Inverness, so back in Inverness for Sunday night.
Monday, homeward.
All Classsic Audis' welcome, some great roads and scenery(although at Glenshee the road is over 2000ft above see level so low cloud can sometimes obscure?!) with many photo opportunities.
If you've been looking for an excuse to "go for a drive!"....this is it.....and the banter will be good.
