I am an online trader in a completely non related area and have been selling on eBay for over ten years.
Let's say for arguments sake the sale price of £5.00 clips/decals etc cost approx £2.50 to produce..
In my world this would equate to:
SP & P&P £6.50
Less VAT (£1.08)
£5.42
Less CP (£2.50)
eBay/Paypal
Fees 10%. (£0.65)
£2.27
P&P* (£0.60)
NP. £1.67
* small Jiffy Bag 7p(bought in bulk)
* if sent as a large letter 60p(contract prices)
* if sent as a parcel £1.80 (contract prices)
You can see what seems like an expensive purchase doesn't necessarily mean the seller is making a Kings Ransom.
You will have to sell a truck load of clips etc etc to do that.
Especially as I haven't factored in time, petrol, sundry costs etc etc

Its a good point and one not lost on me at all, but such is the way Im built, i dont factor any of that in when I do something, I do it because its just the right thing to do, massive profits are quite honestly not forefront in my mind.

I have no truck with anybody trying to help fix the facical state of parts supply for our vehicles, if Audi cant or wont help us then we're on our own but that also means we should be a bit more altruistic when it comes to setting prices and dealing with each other.
These are our cars and we're the ones still flying the flag for Audi whether or not they appreciate it, so the last thing any of us needs is any kind of attitude of "oh its sooooooo rare so itll cost you soooo much more."...... that kite wont fly with me, its one borne of self advancement at the expense of a captive market.

Well yes possibly, I think there are still fundamental differences with how I see things vis a vis the parts pricing score.

Yeah I agree, but it dosent mean we have to like it or play their game.
