I'm with The Real MSH on this.
I have relays on my B2 - have had for 25 years!
It ensures that the bulbs get 13.5 + volts not as little as 10-11 volts -- and it saves the switches from burning out as well.
I have probably got a proper wiring diagram somewhere, if it would be of help.
For several years I ran 100/90 w H4 bulbs in mine, as well , with no problem ( other than they are illegal! )
