Don't worry about displacement - if you want to use fuel injection, you would try to use bottom end only anyway - as there would be no place to fit injectors.
However, there's one interesting thing in that ancient 1.9 engine - I've heard that there's the most aggressive stock camshaft found on 5 pot engine - the only problem is that there's shims, not tappets, so head which receives that cam should have shims too.
