My 87 CD Avant has no receiver built into the rear window. Are you sure about yours?

Sounds like you have a break in your window's element. If so, I think this can be repaired by using a sort of liquid metal. Not sure what its called but I think I saw it on the Frosts auto restorer's website.

It may be coincidental that your radio and window are playing up simultaneously. Give the fuses a look anyway.
