Ok Set timing up correctly and working pump & pre pump filter fitted, Set CO to give a nice tickover but if you open the throttle at anything other than snails pace it stutters as if it has no fuel. Tried a spare pressure regulator that helped but not much.
Normally these cars are fault free of this type of issue as purely mechanical system, with enrichment instant, as you lose inlet manifold vacuum the regulator instantly reduces the pressure on the plate to allow it to rise further and add extra fuel.
So there is still some way to go yet Going to test line pressure next and then see what the pressure at the plunger is like as should change depending on inlet vacuum...
