Yes it would be nice to have the real thing, but if you are actally going to to use the car (rallys, hillclimbs, etc) its important to know the chassis is straight and the parts fitted are avalible easily.
This is a car to be driven, a genuine S1 is a icon and MAYBE should be left for shows and the odd historic meet, unless you have the backing of Audi to keep the squished-up munchkin runing ??
