How many hours, and how many dollars/euros/pounds/firstborn children and or blood diamonds do you think goes into a car like this? Granted, Trev might have been fortunate enough to pay a bucket load of additional money for a more solid example before beginning the work, but he'd still have to find one. I think that it's great that the car, although she appears highly customized, can be brought very easily back to a period state with bolt on parts.
You couldn't pay me so little to do so much, with such a cool car.
I understand that most vintage cars are highly personal, with regards to taste. Sure every Audi freak wants a Sport Quattro, but only a few want a liquid black 70's 4 door saloon.
If it wasn't about implied value, I'd take the 80.
