We used to have an old fella over the road from us who drove a fiesta mk1, we called him "Redline Roger".
He could go forwards ok but in reverse...... off the limiter and crawling at a snails pace.
We always reckoned that if his foot ever came off the clutch he'd be likely to make the guiness records for fastest reverse in a residential street followed by a newer record of biggest reverse speed crash...
Man was way out of his depth.
