To help this along, Old and Shite are both unacceptable... Whilst Retro is Uber-Cool...
Personally, I've never been into stereos, so Old or New, they're all shite in a decent old car with a beautiful engine soundtrack... If it's a shite old car (say a daggy four pot Escort Turbo type Chav-wagon), then a Shite stereo with gross sound impedance at distortion levels of volume is far better than listening to a shagged CVH being throttled...
All, of course, in my humblest opinion....
