Inquiry into a remake of the "holy grail" wheels

Compomotive are prepared to copy the R8 7Jx15 4x108 wheel if desired. Problem is the price that they work out at........

They have given a rough estimate of 240 + vat per wheel based on a quantity of 100. Wheels come painted in a variety of different standard colours

About 280 per wheel, including the dreaded. Doesn't include postage though.

An order for a thousand wheels would bring it down towards the 150 per rim mark, which is what they cost new back in 1986.

280 per rim initially seems very steep, but remember that a set suitable for refurb will set you back about 50 each per rim, plus at least another 50 each for the refurb cost (unless you strike lucky of course....).

This is probably a bit too much to make it fly for CQ's / GT's, but people aspring to 9J sport quattro wheels might want to take note of these prices......

If people are aspiring to getting a set of 9j rims for their sport quattro, why not get a set of MO's?
Compomotive still do them!
