B4 2.0/1.6 differences

Hello,

I'm currently looking at reviving a crap box 80! I can't be arsed changing rings which is what I suspect it needs and can't find a 1.6 block to stick into it, only 2.0 ones. I was wondering if anyone knows if the loom is vastly different if I stuck in a 2.0 block/engine and ecu?

I would like to think that if you just swapped the block, then initially the engine would run lean as it'd draw more air than what the ECU would expect. But as it has a lambda sensor and runs a closed loop system then it should adjust the time the injector(s?) is open for to maintain the correct air/fuel (stoichiometric/lambda) ratio.

If you have a block, and time is your own......I'd do it!

If it doesn't work, disregard the above!

Suppose I better find out what the engine code is first. it looks identical to the 2.0. four injectors, will do some goooling.
