Audi Coupe S International Meeting 7th May
Not sure if anyone has posted up this previously.
From Thursday 5th May to Sunday 8th May 2016, there is an international meeting at Coventry. Audi 100 C1 saloons and Coupe S will be arriving Thursday from all over Europe and Scandanavia, with the centrpiece of the whole meeting has the cars arriving en masse at the Coventry Transport Museum shortly after 10am on Saturday 7th May. If you want to view some stunning examples of these motors ( as opposed to the usual rot boxes that are advertised) it may well be worth a trip over. |
T'was a good meeting, 31 Audi C1 attended, 3 Audi 100 LS, 2 Audi 100GL plus an Audi 80 5S and a '80's coupe, from 7 countries including Australia!!
All lined up in semi circle outside Coventry Transport Museum on Saturday |
Need to go to this one year , sounds like you had a great turnout , any pics ;)

Looked up the itinerary for the 100s club on Friday, saw they were driving to Charlecote Park for lunch so decided to give the Coupe Quattro it's first run out of the summer.
What a great turnout of these beautiful cars from all over Europe & there were some stunners, all the members i spoke to were really friendly & they kindly invited me to line my Quattro up with their cars A great day out. |
Glad u could get there, they'd love the CQ.
Yep all sed n done, when it comes to Brexit I'm an inny. All the guys were so cool, there were a few breakdowns, but the knowledge base meant they weren't broken down for long. English the common language no matter what the level. And I got to meet Harmeet and his lovely wife for the first time after conversing on line for at least 8 years!! I've a few pics, but am in Germany from tomorrow, back at weekend will post them up then. I was particularly impressed with coupe that had split the rims and put UR tyres on it, 'mezzin' stuff. Next European meet late May next year (2017) just south of Paris. That sounds pretty cool to me |
Sry Capnjones, I'm Northwich, u close?

Ok only just got round to collating the photos for this event.
I think it was 36 Audi C1s from all over Europe and Scandanavia in front of Coventry Motor Museum. It was an impressive line up. |
Firstly my Audi 100 LS in Biscay Blue, vintage 1973 and 21K from new.
It had only just been recommissioned. I didn't have time to do much to her so she was/and is still on original rubber. She'd had a maiden voyage to Wigan and back, but then 200 mile round trip to Coventry and back. Performed faultlessly. To say it's original would be an understatement, it is pretty much a new car. Another Brit car well known on this forum. An Audi 100 GL, one of the last made with American style bumpers in solid aluminium
The cavern of space under the rear seat allows all the air ride gear to be stored quite nicely. Not to everyone's taste but at least it's another C1 survivor. The estimate is that 85,000 saloons and about 3,500 Coupes were imported. Not many left now. |
