seats

Quick question my drivers seat in my 85 b2 gt is on its last legs would it be possible to easy fit a b3 seat or if lucky to find s2 one failing that what options are around for a replacement or has any one got a spare brown seat for sale

I don't know whether B3 seats fit which would also mean B4 fit so would be interested to know what would fit a B2 but if your going to change your seat don't bother with the S2 front seats or the like. They are ok ish,but some people find they get back ache with them like me.

I would stick with trying to find an original seat or get yours refurbishes, something sooner rather than latter we all are going to have to do as good interior seats and trim becomes impossible to find.

I guess there should be some sticky thread made about seat compatibility, as there are too much threads like this one :shake:

B3/B4 has wider spacing between rails, and the rest of audi models, C3 and newer, has only wider spacing. Fitting anything into B2 requires either welding or swapping upholstery of that another seat onto B2 seat base and attaching backrest from that seat to that base.

Cheers thought that maybe the case however interested to see that bit about fitting backrest to b2 base if that is what you mean
