Car alarm guidance required :)
Right, me again...
I'm looking at fitting an after market alarm to my 94 coupe. In the past I've had a Clifford system which was a nightmare and would never have again I don't think, so my question is basically is there anyone that can recommend a system to me? I'm after remote central locking, protection on boot, bonnet and doors, motion sensor, impact sensor (the smashing window sensor), perhaps total closure but not really fussed. I just want a decent system that doesn't cost the earth, I've seen some simple ones from £30 right to £££££'s more but I'm a little stuck for advice? Thanking you all once again :D |

An old work colleague used to work for Toad fitting their alarms, he rated them pretty good......don't know what they're like these days?
Are you looking at fitting it yourself? John. |
I got a toad , there's a good few of the Quattro boys with em ... Very reliable kit
Clifford are overpriced blingy toss I've been told |
In about 2000 I bought a Nissan 200 (newest car I've ever owned, sold it soon after 'cause it was too new for me:rolleyes:), it had a Clifford on it...........annoying is how I would describe it.
I kept in touch with the new owner as I done the services on it, the Clifford went tits up on a slip road at 10 o'clock at night immobilizing the car:shake: John. |
I've heard similar stuff , had others go AWOL over the years too but the toad has been good

A lot will depend on how it's fitted....... properly soldered joints and heat-shrinked insulation .
 |
Correct , lad spent most of the day doing mine
