1.4 tdi with 65+ mpg :)

hello u lot, circumstances have changed even more now so i am now looking for a 1.4 tdi or even a 1.2 tdi . :D

i was going to go for an A4 or an 80 but i need at least a combined 65mpg or more!

it don't have to be a tdi but so long as its reliable, does the required mpg all day long, and ideally falls in to the £35 a year tax bracket, it will be ideal.

Cars that spring to mind are

Audi A2 tdi
VW lupo tdi
VW polo tdi
or anything else you have in mind.

I need something soon... like yesterday! lol

Seat (same as Lupo) TDI?

Daveymaclad 31-12-10 11:34 AM

2008 Seat Ibiza Ecomotive 75mpg, £0 tax and about £7k to buy an 08 one. Can't really go wrong! Same as a polo but cheaper! Thinking about getting one myself truth be known. That or the Skoda Fabia greenline does 84mpg ish as an average but are mainly sold in estate form which means they're ugly as sin!

Not VAG but my Girlfreinds Grandad has an Astra SXI TDI Estate for sale, 30 quid a year tax, excellent mpg, fully loaded, september '09, 19,000 miles, £9250....

First generation Toyota Yaris 1.4 D4D.

Great wee car, surprisingly nippy, 65 mpg, £35 tax (well it was last time I taxed it).

I second that...go Skoda. VAG engineering and technology without the price tag!
