Same on my '85 cq, but seems like its a case of put up with it or shut up.

It's a sad fact for us Audi enthusiasts that we are a relatively small gang of guys ( and gals ) by comparison to the MG's, Minis, Beetles , Morris Minors , Fords , etc.
Plus its a German company! With an agenda that is only interested in making the next million DMs...sorry Euros...and probably does not understand the word "sentimental" or "enthusiast".

"Ve hav vays of making a profit ".....and it doesn't include us lot! :shake:

Yeah its not very good but since theyre not really interested we'll have to do it ourselves.

Im going to go with the dropped lip idea on the panels flanged edge and use a mk2 seal which will aloow the roof to sit flat and the seal wont stick out like tits on a bull anymore.

Horrid idea they used for these seals wonder if theyd be happy to do the same for R8 owners?

Well yet another issue not of my making!

This time its the Audi Tradition supplied door seals, part number 857 831 721, these like the sunroof seals dont damned well fit!
Getting very very stale this is now.

Although it fit the aperture lip correctly its too long to suit the aperture so that when its hard against all surfaces i still have a "hump" like nessies of material thats got nowhere to go.
I dont want to cut the seal as its welded together in one piece for weather resistance and because ( I know this is probably a hard concept for the makers to understand) Its meant to be in one piece!!!

A photo says it without me swearing....

And the confirmation of the supplied article.....

I-Give-up.

That is :wierdo: :wierdo: :wierdo:. I'd be F'in furious!! Sunroof seals are bad enough but door seals? It's not exactly rocket science to make them . Guess the stuff probably comes from China and something gets "lost" in the translation ?
